Hyderabad, August 8, 2015: The last date for receipt of applications to participate in State level Photography Competitions on the occasion of World Photography day was extended till 5.00PM on August 12. This was informed by the Commissioner, Information Public Relations B.P. Acharya while adding that on the occasion of World Photography day which will be held on August 19 the I&PR Department is organizing State Level Photography Competition.

 Explaining about the details of the State Level Photography Competitions the Commissioner informed that the Competitions will be held in 3-Categories. In the First Category (BANGARU TELANGANA) will be on Mission Kakatiya,Haritha Haram, Tourism, Culture and Heritage in Second Category (TELANGANA FESTIVALS) will be on Bonalu, Bathukamma, Godavari Pushkaralu and Third Category (PHOTO JOURNALISM) will be on best News Picture in Telangana.

Acharya said that earlier August 9 was the last date for receipt of applications now has been extended to August 12.  He requested the Photographers to utilize the opportunity.

Hyderabad, August 8, 2015: Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali launched the new user friendly version of the web portal of Stamps and registration department www.registration.telangana.gov.nic which can be accessed both in Telugu and Urdu apart from English language on August 6.

Instead of waiting for hours at the offices, they can book their slot for registration and come at their convenience. SMS alerts on status of registration will be auto-generated and sent to parties’ mobile numbers, ensuring accurate information reducing the dependency on middlemen or touts.

On a pilot basis we are introducing shift system in two sub registrar offices – from 8.00 am to 2.30 pm at Bowenpalli and from 2.30 to 9.00 pm at Marredpalli SROs, based on the feedback this will be implemented in further offices later.

Henceforth people can buy non-judicial stamps on face value, from Post offices across the state from 1st September 2015. This was possible with the signing of MOU between the State Stamps and Registration Department and India Post, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. 


Hyderabad, August 4, 2015: A 12 member team of senior journalists from Jaipur called on MD, Hyderabad Metro Railway (HMR), NVS Reddy today at Metro Rail Bhavan, Hyderabad. Stating that they have heard a lot about the international recognition that the Hyderabad Metro Rail project is getting, they requested the MD to explain the unique features of the project. Speaking to the media delegation, VS Reddy emphasised on the need to improve infrastructure facilities, reduce pollution levels and make Indian cities more liveable and competitive to attract investments in this globalised era.

Explaining the constant design improvement and features of Hyderabad Metro Rail, MD, HMR pointed out that the project is being used to transform Hyderabad as a people friendly green city. Special facilities that are being created for women, children, elderly and differently abled people; creation of quality public space at Metro Rail stations; rejuvenation of certain areas were explained.

Responding to the media team’s request for suggestions for improvement of infrastructure facilities in Jaipur city, MD, HMR pointed out the similarities of Jaipur and Hyderabad cities with rich history and magnificent heritage structures and observed that these two cities can be made international tourist destinations and shared some ideas with them as to how Jaipur can be transformed as a rominent city.

August 4, 2015: All-round development in the Telangana State is attracting many within the country and abroad. The schemes and programs as well as welfare measures being implemented in the state caught the attention of many.
