New Delhi, June 18, 2015: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke on telephone to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan and President Dr. Ashraf Ghani.

He conveyed the good wishes for the holy month of Ramadan to them and their people. He expressed hope for peace, tranquility and harmony in their countries and in the region during this month of piety and prayers.

He thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for his successful visit to Bangladesh and the extraordinary hospitality, friendship and goodwill that he received from the people and government of Bangladesh. He expressed confidence that the visit has set the stage for a new era in bilateral cooperation and regional partnership between the two countries.

He reiterated to Prime Minister Sharif his message of peaceful, friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries.

Prime Minister assured President Ghani of India's steadfast commitment to support Afghanistan in its efforts to build a peaceful, stable, secure and prosperous nation.

Hyderabad, June 17, 2015: The Haj Flights from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh this year will commence from September 2 by Air India from Haj Terminal of GMR Rajiv Gandhi Airport, Shamsabad in Hyderabad. Over 5500 pilgrims will perform Haj from both the states.

Hyderabad, June 16, 2015: Chief Minister K.Chandrashekhar Rao expressed his condolences to the members of the family of Late A.Sai Kiran, resident of Hyderabad and studying in USA, and was shot dead in Miami of Florida on Sunday.

The Chief Minister has said that with his death the Telangana State has lost one of the bright students.

Chief Minister’s Office has initiated steps to establish contacts with the Indian Consulate at Florida, Secretary Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Government of India in an effort to bring back the body of Sai Kiran to city.

In a wireless message the Chief Secretary, Telangana State has requested the Indian Consulate to take necessary steps for transportation of dead body from Florida at the earliest. He has also requested the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs to pursue the matter with the Indian Consulate.

Ontario, June 17, 2015: Telangana Development Forum (TDF), Canada had privilege to host meet and greet event with Acharya garu who is in Canada on official visit to promote Telangana tourism. It was a great intellectual and discussion session which was attended by around 50 core team members along with families.

Acharya garu briefed the audience about the progress made by government of Telangana in last year and welcomed NRIs to take apart in the process of building BANGARU Telangana. He further explained various schemes taken by Government of Telangana through video presentations and emphasized the need about NRIs contribution.

He applauded the activities taken up by TDF, Canada since over a decade to uplift Telangana culture and traditions in Canada and also for its contribution towards statehood achievement. Later on TDF Canada core team felicitated Sri. Acharya garu and thanked for attending the event in a very short notice.
