Chief Minister Announces Temple Board, New Facilities, and Infrastructure Enhancements to Elevate Yadagirigutta as a Premier Pilgrimage Destination

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy recently held a detailed review meeting on the ongoing development of the Yadagirigutta Temple in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, aiming to transform the site into a prominent pilgrimage destination. During the meeting, Reddy announced the formation of a Yadagirigutta Temple Board, modeled after the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, which will oversee temple management and development. He directed officials to establish accommodation facilities for devotees on the hill, introduce a new policy for cow protection within temple cowsheds, and complete the gold plating of the Vimana Gopuram in time for the upcoming Brahmotsavam celebrations. Reddy also emphasized the timely completion of land acquisitions around the temple, approving funds to expedite these efforts. In a symbolic move to honor the temple’s cultural heritage, he ordered the official renaming of “Yadadri” to “Yadagirigutta” across all records and daily usage. To ensure streamlined progress, he requested a comprehensive report detailing pending tasks and challenges related to the temple’s development, aiming to enhance facilities, infrastructure, and devotee services. The Telangana government’s efforts reflect a strong commitment to preserving spiritual heritage and elevating Yadagirigutta as a landmark destination for religious tourism in the state.
